THE TRANSFORMATIVE POWER OF ART AND LANGUAGE – A NEW JOURNEY of DISCOVERY
Bluebellwoods is born from:
Receiving an insightful and colourful education through travel with her father and his linguistic profession including his creative contributions, as well as a creative family and her grandfathers connection to Christian Science and the Spiritual embodiment had a great impact on Mich’s life. It was these journeys of introduction which encouraged her own natural creative talents and translating them in her own life path. Although this was interrupted at many corners, it never left her side and has now become the centre of her universe.
A playful and poetic approach, infusing her work with the connection to spirituality is at the core of her work.
Her use of colour, intricate colourful compositions and her ability to evoke emotion through multidimensional forms of art resonate with her reflection of our inner and outer worlds, tapping into the viewers subconscious to invite contemplation. The exploration of the spiritual resonates with her own quest for transcendent experiences through art and ultimately spiritual healing.
Atmospheric spaces as echoes of Mich’s artistic multifaceted art language. Seeking to evoke emotional responses to create a deeper inner connection between the viewer the artworks through the visual and narrative written works.
Mich’s emphasis on the spiritual and her pursuit of transcendent experiences aligned with a shared belief that art can transcend the material world and touch something profound within the human spirit and an emphasis to forge healing of the self.
She has forged her own unique style, the, the imaginative use of colour, exploration of abstraction, language and the pursuit of emotion and spiritual depth with sensibilities shaping her artistic and spiritual development as well as being a mentor to others within exploring profound human experiences tracing an understanding of human emotion.
With a unique eye of the minimalistic beauty of the natural landscape, she is drawn to the interplay of light and shadow and the intricate patterns of movement, allowing her to capture the essence of the expansive landscapes and inlets in their purest form. She is fascinated, by the way the environment interacts with nature and her photography, poetry and video works often capture the tension between the two. Her images have a certain quietness and stillness about them yet they are full of energy and movement. Her approach is simple and intuitive. She doesn’t use complicated equipment or techniques, preferring the scenes and the language to speak for itself. She believes beauty can be found in the simplest of areas in the spiritual and her art work reflects this belief.
‘Spiritual Art and spiritual healing is significant in the process of alleviating emotional and physical blockages in our lives’ through language, music, creative video compositions and the natural world. The use of colour is a strong influence in balancing thoughts feelings & emotions. It is also an important process in identifying with who you are, what it is to be human and your own unique self expression and your natural connection to the Earth, Mich states.
‘We are in an accessible, continual, ‘time’ space’. – Quote by Mich ©24
